Organizational learning
Organizational learning in the public sector
nexus is currently exploring the possibilities of developing a concept for supporting organizational learning in the public sector, as requested by the German Federal Ministry for Consumer Affairs, Food, and Agriculture (BMVEL).
The project is examining the extent to which experiences with models and approaches used in the private sector to stimulate organizational learning can be adapted to public sector organizations. For example, what role do strategic visions play in organizational learning in a federal ministry and what are the implications for the organizational culture and structure?
In a first step, expert interviews with civil servants in the BMVEL at multiple levels and in different departments are being conducted to understand how organizational learning has been achieved in the past and to identify which have been the factors promoting or hindering learning over time.
