This project, which was funded by the Foundation for Education and the Advancement of People with Disabilities GmbH (
Stiftung für Bildung und Behindertenförderung GmbH), was designed to inform the residents of Neuenhagen of ways to use rainwater. People had the opportunity to help protect natural resources by deciding on equipment appropriate for their intended use of rainwater.
In order to develop a qualified information network, members of the community and the most important actors in water management from the local administration, associations, federations, and public agencies joined in a working group co-ordinated by nexus. Keeping in mind the specific conditions prevailing in the township and the country, this group created a set of guidelines as a manual for all property and building owners interested in using rainwater technology. The working group has continued to serve the citizens of the community as an information clearinghouse.
