Civil society, globalisation and identity
The interest in an active civil society, in which citizens’ involvement is geared towards the community, has grown significantly in recent years. nexus provides consultation to the players, and assists, facilitates and investigates processes that allow for increasing participation, responsibility and involvement in the shaping of change. Complementary to globalization, identifying with and trusting the system is becoming increasingly important in local and regional civil societies. In the light of unsettling globalisation processes, home in the sense of spatial and regional identity conveys a sense of community and belonging. nexus investigates the way in which global factors affect local and regional levels and develops innovative models for action. In the context of civil society, globalisation and identity, nexus offers a broad range of participative methods (Planning Cells, Future Workshops, Open Space, Salon Method etc.) that are tailored to individual requirements and adapted for clients from the fields of science, administration and politics.
