Creative-Workshop Sustainable Consumption
Creative-Workshop Sustainable Consumption
For a sustainable development, individual consumer decisions play a major role. Sufficient information and appropriate offers are crucial to buying patterns that take into account possible negative effects in the future. On this background, nexus organizes a creative-workshop “sustainable consumption” in October 2009 as a participative discussion process on behalf of the “Rat für Nachhaltige Entwicklung” (German Council for Sustainable Development); about 120 relevant actors from business and society are invited. nexus works out the concept, organizes, moderates and documents the event, whose goal it is to develop among the participants options for action on the way to sustainable consumption. From the event are to emerge ideas for new business models that foster this development. The design of the creative-workshop combines input by experts, discussions in small and large groups, elaboration of consumer’s requirements and adequate offers by small enterprises as well as interaction and activation of all participants.
